Tourism Trinidad Limited at World Travel Market 2022: Day 1

Tourism Trinidad Limited (TTL) has kicked off Day 1 of World Travel Market 2022 at London’s Excel Exhibition Centre.  After an absence of three years the destination marketing organization for the island of Trinidad is participating at the world’s largest travel trade show in collaboration with the Tobago Tourism Agency Limited.

Chief Executive Officer of TTL, Carla Cupid was part of a team of officials and tourism stakeholders who attended the exhibition to meet with airlines, tour operators, online travel agents, travel media as part of a wider strategy to increase airlift, forge marketing partnerships and increase visitor arrivals to destination Trinidad.

Ms. Cupid said, “The team from Trinidad was well received and we met with key partners namely KLM and National Geographic who continue to show great interest in sharing all that Trinidad has to offer with the world.”  Ms. Cupid continued, “Day one of World Travel Market 2022 has already borne much fruit and provided numerous opportunities for destination marketing, new airlift and more avenues for international coverage of Trinidad.”

At a press conference at the Trinidad and Tobago stand, TTL was able to announce the extension of the KLM service into Port of Spain into 2023 and the new direct service by British Airways three times per week.  Additionally, Karen Battoo, General Manager of the Asa Wright Nature Centre revealed that the iconic eco-lodge will reopen for business on April 1st, 2023.

World Travel Market continues for the next two days until Wednesday 9th November with the team scheduled to meet with more international travel partners to promote destination Trinidad in key source markets.
